About the role

Provide focused tutoring support in various content areas and support students in developing executive functioning skills. The ASC Tutor Team Lead serves as a liaison between educators and Academic Skills Center Tutors, collaborating with school staff to ensure effective tutoring support for students during their regular school day.

Responsibilities

• Serves as liaison between educators and Academic Skills Center Tutors.
• Plans and facilitates meetings with ASC tutors to solve challenges, communicate information, and build positive relationships.
• Collaborates with Principal and other educators to discuss student progress and effective resources, strategies, and tools to support student growth.
• Provides tutoring support to small groups of students assigned to the Academic Skills Centers.
• Ensures tutors are supervised in their interactions with students.
• Assists students in setting individual goals and monitoring their progress toward achieving these goals.
• Facilitates communication and collaboration between educators, tutors, and families.
• Supports tutors in successful educator and family communication, ensuring expectations are fulfilled.
• Guides students as they engage with appropriate learning activities, resources, and supports.
• Monitors student behavior to create a physically and emotionally safe learning environment.
• Models dialogue, turn-taking, listening skills, kindness, and empathy to demonstrate appropriate social and interpersonal behavior.
• Attends and leads meetings as appropriate.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum sixty (60) semester hours or ninety (90) quarter hours of college courses completed with a grade of C or higher from a Professional Standards Commission approved accredited college or university.
