Area 4 Elementary School _ Paraprofessional, Special Ed (Rockbridge ES) 2026-2027

Rockbridge Elementary School is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to support teachers in meeting the educational, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of students in the classroom and community.

Responsibilities

• Provide small group and/or individualized instruction to students in accordance with lesson plans developed by the teacher.
• Assist teachers with daily classroom management activities to ensure an effective learning environment.
• Support teachers with assessment of student performance (standardized and non-standardized testing) and other recordkeeping tasks.
• Help develop and organize appropriate instructional materials for student use, ensuring availability prior to scheduled instructional segments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of sixty (60) semester hours or ninety (90) quarter hours of college courses completed with a GPA of 2.0 or higher from a Professional Standards Commission-approved accredited college or university, or
• High school diploma/GED and a passing score on the Georgia Assessments for the Certification of Educators (GACE) Paraprofessional Assessment.
• Must obtain a valid Professional Standards Commission-approved paraprofessional certificate.
