Area 4 Elementary School_Paraprofessional, 1:1 ( Dunaire ES) 2026-2027

Dunaire Elementary School is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Paraprofessional to support teachers in meeting the educational, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of students.

About the role

The ideal candidate will implement, deliver, and promote high academic expectations for all students while working collaboratively with team members. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide small group and/or individualized instruction to students in accordance with teacher-developed lesson plans.
• Assist teachers with daily classroom management to ensure a conducive learning environment.
• Support teachers with assessment of student performance, including standardized and non-standardized testing, and other recordkeeping tasks.
• Help develop and organize instructional materials, ensuring their availability for scheduled lessons.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of sixty (60) semester hours or ninety (90) quarter hours of college courses completed with a GPA of 2.0 or higher from a Professional Standards Commission-approved accredited college or university or
• High school diploma/GED and a passing score on the Georgia Assessments for the Certification of Educators (GACE) Paraprofessional Assessment.
• Must obtain a valid Professional Standards Commission-approved paraprofessional certificate.
