Producer's Handy Dandy is seeking full-time voiceover professionals who are active members of SAG-AFTRA and reside in the Mid-Atlantic region, specifically the Washington D.C., Baltimore, Maryland, or Richmond, Virginia area.

Requirements

• Active membership in SAG-AFTRA
• Primary residence in the Washington D.C., Baltimore, or Richmond area
• Working voiceover professional with an internet connection
• Ability to record and submit MP3 auditions
• Submission of a demo and brief description of recent work for review

Equipment & Software

• Basic setup: computer microphone ($10-$30) plugged into your computer’s sound card (headphone/microphone combinations are acceptable)
• Recommended free recording and editing software: Audacity (available for Windows and Mac, with tutorials and online help)
• Alternative: Use a studio with an engineer to edit demos into 15-30 second clips (some studios offer discounted rates for voiceover professionals)

Demo & Profile Guidelines

• Upload as many vocal style categories as desired (more categories increase search visibility)
• Only native speakers eligible for the Foreign Language category
• Audio file standard: MP3 (mono or stereo) at 128Kb, with clips limited to 15-30 seconds
• Update or change material anytime via the Talent Login page
• Clips must accurately match their category; mismatched clips may be removed

Audition Process

• Selected auditions receive a script via email
• Record the script as an MP3 and return it promptly
• Email includes a link to upload the audition or decline if there’s a conflict
• If selected for the job, the audition requester will contact you directly

Fees

Administrative and membership fee: $150 for the calendar year, due upon acceptance.
