Architecture Intern - Global Facilities (Chesapeake/Raleigh)

About the role

Our Architecture Interns work collaboratively with project teams of architects, designers, and engineers to create world‑class design on a variety of projects, including corporate, healthcare, research, institutional, mission‑critical, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, airport, government, and military.

Responsibilities

• Design, construction documentation, and specification development.
• Client presentations, programming, shop drawing review, and construction administration.
• Assist in developing solutions to technical problems.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field from a recognized, accredited program (NAAB accreditation strongly preferred).
• Currently enrolled, and in good standing, in a post‑secondary education and/or technical certificate program related to the department’s work.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA (strongly preferred).
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience (preferred).
• Active involvement in campus, community, or other volunteer activities or organizations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Basic knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Self‑motivated, eager learner with aptitude to grow and develop within the field.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis without future sponsorship for employment visa status.
