Architecture Designer

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned design projects in collaboration with Architecture leadership and Division teams to develop innovative, market-responsive home designs.
• Understand market trends, customer preferences, and competitive offerings to inform design solutions.
• Ensure designs support the construction, cost, operational, and marketing objectives of each project.
• Maintain consistent architectural detailing and design standards that strengthen the Drees brand and support construction quality.
• Review projects for compliance with applicable building codes and company standards.
• Complete independent assignments with minimal supervision while effectively managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Apply strong residential design principles throughout all phases of project development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Architecture
• NCARB Certification (a plus)
• Residential Architecture experience
• Proficient in Revit and MS Office programs; AutoCAD experience preferred but not required
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail on fast-paced projects
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Ability to thrive in a challenging and fast-paced work environment
