Architectural Project Manager- Sports Venues
About the role
AECOM Sports is seeking an Architectural Project Manager based in Kansas City, MO, Los Angeles, CA or Dallas, TX to lead and execute interdisciplinary projects with a focus on Sports, Public Assembly, and Higher Education projects.
Responsibilities
- Working with interdisciplinary technical leads in coordinated successful execution of projects in design and construction
- Engaging with both Team leaders, Client Contacts, and Partner firms
- Reviewing and negotiating contracts and preparing fee proposals
- Managing and leading teams and staff
- Succeeding in developing strategy, mitigation efforts, proposals, contract review, and leading project teams to execute projects
- Managing and supporting all technical, financial, and client satisfaction areas using established processes and tools
- Supporting business development efforts as required to engage new client opportunities
- Managing teams across business lines
- Coordinating internal resources and third parties/subcontractors for the execution of projects
- Ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Aiding in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility
- Developing and monitoring a detailed project plan to track progress and identify shortfalls in a timely manner
- Maintaining project documentation control
- Performing risk management to minimize project risks
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, plus four +4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Eight or more years of progressively responsible experience in Architecture or Engineering leading multidisciplinary teams on business development (e.g., project proposals) and project deliverables (e.g., technical reports, studies, construction documents)
- Four or more years with specific Project Management related experience in Sports Venues
- Experience in implementing design quality assurance and quality control activities
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated team-building ability and internal/external networking skills
- Ability to interact regularly and professionally with senior management and technical staff in other offices on business development and project execution issues
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Prominent organizational skills with a proven track record in client satisfaction
