Architectural Product Designer

About the role

The ideal candidate for this role is a motivated design professional with 8+ years experience in:

• Client Collaboration: Present technical design solutions directly to architecture and design firms and their fabricators.
• Digital Fabrication Setup: Create, clean, and optimize vector files and toolpaths for CNC machining and precision laser cutting equipment.
• Prototyping: Oversee the fabrication of physical mock-ups, collaborating directly with shop craftsmen to troubleshoot production challenges on the floor.
• Estimating CAD and CNC project costs.
• Product Development: Work with design and sales teams in design and development of premium interior metal materials, both in-house and vendor-sourced.
• Hands-on fabrication: Self-motivated design professional with an aptitude for making things. Strong on the computer (CAD, Adobe Creative Suite), and have practical design and fabrication skills, ideally with metal.

Requirements

You work well within a team and by yourself and you must be able to work in-person at our Easthampton, MA facility.

Qualifications

• BA, Architecture or industrial design degree.

Skills
