About the role

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Metals Estimator to join our team. This role will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for metal fabrication projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for metal fabrication projects
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accuracy and completeness of estimates
• Review and analyze project specifications to determine material requirements and costs
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand project scope and provide cost estimates
• Stay updated with industry trends and pricing to provide competitive estimates

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in architectural metals estimating
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for cost estimation
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Experience working with metal fabrication processes and materials
• Knowledge of industry standards and codes
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong problem-solving skills

Skills

• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., ProEst, AccuCost)
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., Primavera, Microsoft Project)
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and bidding processes
