Responsibilities

  • Conducting literature/records searches
  • Participating in field work
  • Conducting archival research
  • Preparing historic contexts
  • Applying National Register criteria to evaluate architectural resources
  • Preparing architectural history components of NHPA and CEQA technical reports
  • Documenting architectural resources on California DPR 523 records and Historic American Building Survey (HABS) / Historic American Engineering Record (HAER) / Historic American Landscape Surveys (HALS)
  • Other duties as assigned

    Requirements

    • Master of Arts (or evidence of completed M.A. coursework and nearly completed M.A. degree) in History, Public History, Architecture, Architectural History, or other closely related field
    • 1-2 years of experience
    • Based in Rocklin office with regional travel required, mostly within Northern California

      Pay

      Base full-time annual salary range is $50,000-$70,000. Starting salary is determined by relevant experience, education, certifications/permits, geographic location, internal equity and market conditions.
