About the role
The Architectural Designer IV leads design efforts, prepares construction documents, and mentors junior staff. This role manages projects from concept to completion, emphasizing technical accuracy, client satisfaction, and consultant coordination.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of design concepts, working closely with clients and internal teams to translate client needs into innovative architectural solutions.
- Prepare detailed construction documents, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and technical specifications, ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
- Oversee the coordination of building systems (e.g., structural, mechanical, electrical) with consultants, ensuring seamless integration into the architectural design.
- Review design drawings, specifications, and other project documentation for accuracy, quality, and alignment with project goals.
- Serve as a mentor to junior designers, providing guidance on design, technical issues, and professional development.
- Manage project schedules and resources, ensuring that design milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and consultants during the construction phase to address design-related challenges and ensure adherence to design intent.
- Participate in client presentations and meetings, effectively communicating design concepts and project updates.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field, 10+ years of experience in architecture, strong background in Revit & AutoCAD.
- PREFERRED: Master’s degree in Architecture, Pursuit of architectural licensure, Experience with large or complex projects.
