Architectural Designer / Interior Designer – Part-Time, Remote

Creates Cool is a San Francisco-based architecture and design studio looking for a part-time Architectural Designer / Interior Designer to join our growing remote team.We work across residential, hospitality, retail, restaurant, commercial, and interior design projects throughout the Bay Area and beyond. Our studio combines the rigor of a traditional architecture practice with the flexibility, speed, and experimentation of a startup.This is a long-term contract role designed for someone who wants meaningful professional experience while maintaining flexibility in their schedule. The position is fully remote, with approximately 10–20 hours per week preferred. Responsibilities• Support projects across programming, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, and construction documents• Develop architectural and interior design drawings in Revit• Assist with floor plans, elevations, details, finish plans, materials, and specifications• Help produce well-coordinated construction document sets• Prepare graphics and presentation materials for clients• Coordinate project information with the internal team and consultants• Contribute ideas to studio standards, workflows, and design processes• Occasionally collaborate on creative projects outside of traditional architecture, including furniture, lighting, products, graphics, and other design concepts Qualifications• Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field• Professional architecture or interior design experience preferred• Strong Revit proficiency is highly important• Experience producing construction documents preferred• Familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign• Strong graphic, written, and verbal communication skills• Ability to independently organize work, manage deadlines, and take ownership of assigned tasks• Ability to work as a 1099 contractor within the United States• Interest in a long-term contract relationship• Availability for approximately 10–20 hours per week preferred Who We’re Looking ForWe’re looking for someone who is proactive, organized, collaborative, and genuinely excited about design.You should be comfortable working independently in a remote environment, communicating frequently with a small team, managing multiple priorities, and jumping between different types and scales of projects.We value curiosity and experimentation.
