Architectural Designer

Summary

We are seeking an inspired designer with exceptional creativity and communication skills to join our design team. The position requires 3‑5 years' experience in the production of concept, schematic and design development documents for small and large‑scale, programmatically complex development projects. The architectural designer will be involved on a project from concept through completion, working directly with the design team to develop and execute the vision. Candidates must be highly motivated, work effectively in a collaborative team environment, and have demonstrated skills in advanced digital design software, rapid‑prototyping, etc.

Responsibilities

• Develop design drawings while working with leadership and project managers to prepare layouts, plans and detail drawings as necessary for various types of projects.
• Prepare and modify architectural documents, elevations, sections, details, etc.
• Prepare 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings and materials.
• Create digital models for project team review.
• Compile data and perform design computations.
• Perform product research; assist project designers and project architects with materials selection and system research.
• Work with project team to execute projects on time and within budget, cost and quality constraints.
• Become familiar with building and life safety codes and their correct application.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Architecture degree from an accredited program.
• 3‑5 years’ experience.
• Proficiency with Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Suite and rendering software (Enscape, Lumion).
• Strong creative design portfolio.
• Strong communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects.

Skills

• Excellent visual and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and corporate executives.
• Strong working knowledge of Revit and SketchUp preferred.
