Architectural Designer

About the Role

You will assist with the design and detail drawing packages for our clients, working closely with all in-house engineering disciplines to create quality designs. Our team is made up of talented and hard-working individuals, and we are looking forward to adding another member to our group. To support collaboration, mentorship opportunities, and effective project execution, BSI Engineering has adopted a hybrid work schedule in which employees are in the office a minimum of three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Reports directly to the Manager of Architecture
• Participates in programming efforts with clients and gathers necessary field data
• Participates in interdisciplinary coordination efforts to ensure project objectives are being met
• Assists in developing designs and details
• Prepares and modifies architectural documents, elevations, sections, details, etc. using Revit
• Continues to develop and improve the quality of design and documentation within the firm while taking leadership in related efforts
• Assists in preparing material take-offs for estimating efforts as required
• Participates in Construction administration support

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Design, Architectural Technology or a related field of study
• 3+ years post graduate experience
• Proficient in Revit
• Working knowledge of 3D visualization and rendering software
• Strong knowledge of general building systems, functions and design
• Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, methods and industry standards
• Good presentation and decision-making skills
• Motivated self-starter with ability to work independently
• Proficient at setting priorities and managing multiple tasks
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Positive conflict resolution skills
