Architectural BIM Designer, DC Design Engineering

Responsibilities
- Design and prepare Architectural models and documentation, leveraging BIM data.
- Support the Design Engineering team through the preparation of Architectural building system designs.
- Create and maintain regional and global template documents, including Revit Families and Detail Components.
- Update and modify existing models, studies, and construction documents as required.
- Influence data center design documents for various aspects such as exterior envelope design, interior architecture, furniture, finishes, and equipment, site and civil planning, space planning, life safety, structural systems, and building code compliance.
- Produce and maintain Architectural drawing sets for our fleet of data centers.
- Collaborate with internal groups and external suppliers and consultants, manufacturers, vendors, and contractors.
- Participate in design coordination meetings with other trades for clash detection and resolution.
- Work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical locations.
- Assist in information exchange processes between internal and external customers in a Common Data Environment (CDE).
- Record and report of key metrics to management.
- Travel to data center sites for engineering evaluations and surveys as required.
- Offer creative, out-of-the-box solutions and maintain a positive attitude.
Requirements
Experience with building codes and regulations for your region
5+ years of Architectural design experience on mission critical facilities
4+ years of experience using Revit for producing Architectural BIM models and construction drawings
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience directly related to the design or construction of data centers
- Familiarity with the BIMForum LOD Specification, as well as applying Lean principles to design modeling and drawing production
- Experience designing within the full lifecycle of a building, from concept to permit, construction, and occupancy
- Experience in multi-discipline collaboration on AutoDesk BIM 360, Construction Cloud, and/or Forma
Skills
Experience with building codes and regulations for your region

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field

Base salary range: $116,800.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually
