Architectural AutoCAD SME
About the role
Parsons is managing a Technical Services (TS) program for an agency within the Department of Defense to review third party A/E work; conduct studies, analysis, testing and measuring; perform specialized engineering services, planning and design reviews; commissioning services; and construction oversight on worldwide delivery orders. We are seeking an Architectural AutoCAD SME who is highly skilled in AutoCAD, versatile and adaptable in dynamic, team-oriented environments, committed to driving innovation and efficiency within multidisciplinary teams, and who has exceptional communication, analytical and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the clients Architectural Master Drawings files using AutoCAD.
- Conduct Site Surveys to verify as-built conditions and incorporate them into the Master Drawings AutoCAD files.
- Track and organize facility changes to the AutoCAD data holdings.
- Coordinates work with engineering and construction teams to ensure project data is of the quality required to support the Master Drawings files.
- Provide advanced technical guidance, support project teams, and drive best practices in AutoCAD design and drafting.
- Analyze and document existing workflows related to Vault and AutoCAD usage.
- Provide advanced technical guidance and drive best practices in support of Vault.
- Develop standardized operating procedures, work instructions, and process maps.
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to streamline CAD and data management operations.
- Maintain and update process documentation to reflect changes in software, regulations, or business requirements.
- Perform AutoCAD/Vault projects and other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Qualifications
- Associated degree in Architecture is preferred with at least 12 years of relevant experience
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required
- Must be US Citizen
Skills
- Skilled in the application of architectural design standards, practices, techniques, and concepts.
- Knowledge of architectural, mechanical and electrical disciplines.
- Expertise in AutoCAD and other PC software packages typically associated with architectural design is also required.
- Excellent written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven expertise with Vault and AutoCAD.
- Strong analytical and process improvement skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Pay
Salary Range: $103,500.00 - $181,100.00
