About the role
The Architectural Associate – Entry Level position at Farnsworth Group in Phoenix, AZ, involves assisting Project Managers in completing project design solutions for various public and private sector projects. This role includes supporting the preparation of creative and innovative design ideas, concepts, and solutions, as well as providing design support under supervision for schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
Responsibilities
- Visit project sites to review and document existing conditions
- Supports preparation of creative and innovative design ideas, concepts, and solutions while participating as an integral member of the design team
- Provides design support under supervision for schematic design, design development, and construction documents
- Aids in preparing client presentation materials using design application skills and creative ideas
- Uses a creative approach to perform tasks and responsibilities on projects in an organized, timely, and consistent way
- Self-checks work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and compiles data for document compliance in accordance with the Project Delivery Manual
- Supports tasks within project teams and maintains open communication within the team and with project managers
- Aids in coordinating among partners and consultants
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Architecture preferred; Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture required; degree must be from an accredited university
- 0-2 years of professional experience
- Experience with Adobe Creative suite, Enscape, Lumion, and Microsoft Office preferred
- Proficient use of Revit
- Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and motivation to learn and be curious about design
- Ability to collaborate with team members and follow instructions
- Interest in completing the ARE exams
Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
