Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, and plan complex IT solutions for platforms and peripheral systems (sensors, weapon systems), considering security, network, and operational requirements.
• Define security and network components required for integrating technical systems, peripheral systems, and platform services into classified environments; model and document information flows, data objects, and specialized/technical interfaces.
• Develop, update, and evolve architecture, integration, and security documentation throughout the platform lifecycle; assume overall architectural responsibility for integrated systems.
• Coordinate and provide technical leadership to teams responsible for network, security, platform, and peripheral systems to ensure timely end-to-end integration while maintaining clear responsibilities.
• Conduct technical reviews and ensure quality assurance of architecture and implementation work across all relevant teams.
• Analyze communication flows and protocols; ensure technical compatibility of applications and platform services for integration.

Requirements

• University degree or equivalent in computer science or telecommunications, with experience and skills in security requirements, data protection, compliance, and governance.
• Strong knowledge of networking, including VPNs, firewalls, and IPSec technologies.
• Several years of experience in architecting and integrating complex ICT systems, with deep knowledge of APIs, messaging architectures, event-driven architectures, and information architectures; strong understanding of information flows, data models, and data objects in multi-vendor environments.
• In-depth understanding of modern security concepts such as Zero Trust, Defense-in-Depth, and inter-domain/zone concepts.
• Ability to consolidate technical requirements from various stakeholders using agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe) and to provide technical leadership to interdisciplinary teams, aligning them toward common goals.
• Proficiency in at least one additional official Swiss language, with passive knowledge of a third language preferred.
