We are seeking a mid to senior-level Architect to join our rapidly growing Philadelphia-area team in Conshohocken, PA. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects for pharmaceutical, biologics, and cell & gene therapy manufacturing facilities—from feasibility through qualification—for both local and international clients. The ideal candidate enjoys client interaction, technical design, and leading projects in a collaborative environment.

About the Role

The Architect III will assist senior team members while leading and executing all phases of design, including programming, planning, feasibility, scope development, detailed design, construction documentation, and construction administration. This role involves mentoring junior staff, coordinating with engineers and BIM teams, and ensuring designs meet client, regulatory, and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with developing project resource plans and pricing for proposals within the architectural discipline.
  • Support client meetings to assess needs and develop project programs.
  • Develop conceptual designs and coordinate with engineers on the design team.
  • Develop and coordinate BIM models with internal and external project team members.
  • Manage design and construction information within cost, time, and quality constraints.
  • Produce construction drawings and specifications adhering to client, regulatory, and industry standards.
  • Lead discipline-related internal and external project communications and coordination.
  • Mentor junior architectural staff and provide constructive feedback to improve capability and confidence.
  • Perform fieldwork, including site visits and field measurements during construction.
  • Undertake special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in the life sciences industry.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in a multi-discipline team environment.
  • Commercial acumen to manage projects within budget and implement change management procedures.
  • Registered Architect (RA) licensure in practicing states.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NCARB Certification.
  • Knowledge of cGMPs as they pertain to biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and cell & gene therapy.
  • LEED GA or AP certification.
  • Willingness to travel moderately for client meetings, project requirements, and industry events.
