Architect / Designer - Job Captain Residential

Qualifications

• Accredited degree in architecture: B.Arch. or M.Arch.
• 7+ years of professional experience, primarily in high-end custom residential projects (candidates with higher levels of experience are encouraged to apply and may be considered for more senior roles)
• Knowledge of CRC standards, design, and detailing in Type V construction
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM, and Adobe Suite required; ArchiCAD and SketchUp preferred
• Thoughtful design skills and strong portfolio, including examples of residential construction drawings
• Excellent verbal, written and graphic communication skills
• Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and self-management

Responsibilities

• Collaborate effectively with the project manager and design team in the development of the design with limited supervision
• Create preliminary and schematic design drawing packages for client presentations and design review boards
• Manage production, organization, and coordination of drawing sets with an exceptional standard of craft and quality
• Seek innovative approaches to communicate design ideas efficiently, effectively, and artfully using various software platforms

Pay

Annual salary range for this position is $98,000 - $128,000, depending on experience.

Schedule

This position is not remote. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance to San Francisco and legally authorized to work in the United States.
