Responsibilities

  • Work autonomously to complete Design, Documentation and Construction Administration tasks on smaller projects, utilizing staff support as needed.
  • Tasks include the preparation of drawings and specifications, field verification/assessment, making recommendations and writing reports.
  • Leads and supervises the work of a team, mentoring and guiding junior-level staff throughout the process.
  • Closely coordinates with Project Technical Leads/Project Managers as required, to meet overarching project objectives.
  • Develops envelope and code strategies that meet schedule and budget objectives, working autonomously or with Project Technical Leads.
  • Conducts technical and design presentations to clients, agencies and stakeholders.
  • Coordinates regularly with engineers, consultants and extended teams to ensure full coordination and timely delivery of all aspects of the project.
  • Able to coordinate directly with clients and stakeholders.
  • Coordinates with Project Technical Leads/Project Managers regarding project planning and staffing.
  • Maintains understanding of project profitability and contract scope and identifies potential scope creep.
  • Able to sell other services to existing clients and support regional Business Development in a variety of market sectors and may assist in proposals and fee evaluations.

Qualifications

  • Licensed and non-licensed candidates that meet these criteria will be considered.
  • Professional degree in Architecture and 10 – 14 years of related work experience.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills and success working within a team.
  • Schedule-driven, ability to plan work of team to meet deliverables.
  • Ability to identify issues, research/assess options and problem solve independently.
  • Knowledge of REVIT, Bluebeam, Procore and cloud-based Spec Writing software.
  • Ability to travel for project related activities.

Pay

Salary Range: $95,000 - $112,000. Wendel is committed to providing fair, competitive, and market-informed compensation. The salary offered will be determined based the successful candidates’ relevant education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The salary offered will also take into consideration regional adjustment factors.
