Responsibilities
- Transform innovative concepts into practical solutions.
- Provide advanced-level engineering design functions.
- Architect provisioning capabilities of Azure or AWS services and configure services using tools and languages.
- Develop complex solutions from business requirements and architectural specifications; provide input to set or amend architectural specifications.
- Create presentations and seek IT management approval for significant replacements or reconfigurations of major business systems.
- Direct the construction of architecture components (e.g., data architecture, application architecture, technical architecture).
- Participate in the design of the enterprise architecture.
- Propose opportunities to improve results based on targeted or continuous assessment.
- Participate in enterprise planning activity, including vendor assessment, technology platform selection and retirement, prioritization, and integration.
- Provide operational readiness for applications enabling seamless 24x7x365 production and technical support.
- Design performance and capacity plans to ensure optimal application health and performance.
- Serve as a strategist and continuously refine AWS or Azure deployment practices for improved reliability, repeatability, and security.
- Drive effective security practices (e.g., regular security patching, minimum-permissions accounts, encryption) in compliance with healthcare and other standards (HIPAA, HITRUST, ISO 27000, SOC). Implement and verify them using tools to analyze compliance.
- Design and implement Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans for on-prem and Azure or AWS.
- Commit to best practices relating to craft/technology across multiple clients, ensuring deliverables meet success metrics and influence client decisions.
- Prioritize individual operational excellence by meeting or exceeding all utilization goals (1500 billable hours).
- Contribute to evolv’s culture and personal development through collaboration, displaying core values, participating in internal initiatives, and obtaining new certifications.
- Help grow evolv by providing team member/client referrals and connecting with our internal network.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience with Google Cloud, Azure, or AWS.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related software engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Production experience coding in Java.
- Experience with API management and integrations.
- Experience in application development using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
- Knowledge of IAM: Authentication, Login & SSO, AD Integration.
- Knowledge of data retention and security best practices.
- Experience deploying cloud infrastructure in production.
- Experience in pipeline architecture (CI/CD).
- Experience in end-to-end encryption and key management.
- Experience in Sequence Diagrams, Deployment Diagrams, and State Diagrams.
- Strong understanding of DNS, ALB vs ELB use cases, HAProxy use cases and limitations, firewall configuration, API gateway use cases, WAF use cases, routing, and troubleshooting connectivity.
