Responsibilities

  • Organize and direct the architectural and/or engineering team to execute work in an orderly, timely, and coordinated manner
  • Provide project team coordination and/or supervision for finished plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction
  • Develop and coordinate drawings and specifications including: program compliance, code and agency compliance, schedule commitments, and product research
  • Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives
  • Provide input to the design and construction schedule
  • Communicate the technical implications of design decisions
  • Handle project-level verbal and written client communication
  • Serve as the primary client liaison to bring schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion and to the client’s satisfaction
  • Actively manage project budget, scope, and schedule; project communications and documentation; and project team assignments
  • Develop proposal and contracts; estimate fees; determine scope of works

Requirements

  • At least 5-7 years of experience at an architectural firm or design/build practice specific to architectural/mechanical/process/electrical systems for commercial, healthcare, semi-conductor, or pharmaceutical projects (equivalent experience is also acceptable)
  • AIA or NCAARB highly desirable
  • Project Management Certification (PMP, MPM, etc.) preferred but not required
  • Construction Management, Architectural, or Engineering degree preferred but not required

Qualifications

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Field experience is a plus
  • AutoCAD and/or REVIT proficiency
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or similar 3D modeling/rendering software
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows environment
  • Detail‐oriented and organized
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to adapt to ever-changing project needs and priorities
  • Reliable, responsible, and able to communicate well with colleagues, consultants, and clients
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Proactive and self‐motivated
  • A sense of humor and a team player
