About the role

Beau Clowney Architects, located in downtown Charleston, SC, is searching for an experienced project architect to join their team. They strive to provide thoughtful and sensible designs on a variety of projects located throughout the region and internationally. Their collaborative studio environment allows individuals to work on all aspects of multiple design projects. Working closely with their clients, they provide innovative and unique solutions while creating timeless design. They are seeking positive and inventive individuals to join them that have a passion for all types of design, from architecture to interiors, art, and beyond. Their work is primarily high-end residential, along with selective commercial and development projects.

Responsibilities

• Engage in owner meetings, discussions, and review board presentations
• Conceptualize and efficiently produce a thorough set of construction documents
• Understand and apply knowledge of building systems, details, and coordination of outside consultants
• Manage and mentor team members

Requirements

• Eye for detail
• Understanding of the construction documentation process
• Proficiency in computer drawing/modeling programs (Vectorworks preferred)
• Collaborative skills and multi-tasking abilities

Qualifications

• Experienced with project architect with an accredited degree (BS in Architecture, B.Arch or M.Arch.)
• Professional architectural licensure is an asset

Skills

• Ability to conceptualize and efficiently produce a thorough set of construction documents
• Knowledge of building systems, details, and coordination of outside consultants
• Ability to manage/mentor team members
