Archery Tech

About the role

The Archery Technician supports a strong commitment to world class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers. This position involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and tuning all archery equipment to ensure it is safe and functioning properly. Other responsibilities include installing accessory items on bows, demonstrating products to customers, assisting customers with specific technical questions, and replenishing product on shelves.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and tunes all archery equipment
• Installs accessory items on Bows
• Demonstrates product to customers
• Aids customers by answering specific technical questions
• Continues technical training to improve proficiency and product knowledge
• Aids in maintaining pricing and UPC integrity
• Assists with inventory accuracy and proper display of products
• Provides a legendary experience for every customer by assisting in making buying decisions
• Identifies and evaluates customers' needs
• Makes product recommendations based on this analysis
• Promotes programs including, but not limited to, CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up
• Replenishes product on shelves as required

Qualifications

• Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Years of experience: 2+ years’ experience with bow set up
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must be able to perform bow set up, bow assembly, accessory installation, arrow set up, operate equipment/tools, and instruct on safety and accessories.

Skills

• Ability to perform bow set up including draw length, eye dominance, and draw weight identification
• Ability to perform bow assembly and accessory installation such as kisser button, peep sights, D loop, knock location, and scope installation
• Knowledge of arrow set up including arrow length, spine, and insert installation
• Operate various equipment and tools including a bow press and chop saw
• Instruct customers on safety, accessories, bow features, and brand awareness
