Responsibilities
- Plan and lead beginner archery classes
- Teach basic archery skills, including stance, aim, and shooting technique
- Ensure range safety procedures are followed at all times
- Set up and take down archery equipment before and after classes
- Provide clear instruction, demonstrations, and individual feedback
- Create a positive and encouraging learning environment
- Communicate with program staff regarding scheduling and class needs
Requirements
- Minimum Age: Must be 18 years of age or older
- Certification Requirement: Must have or be willing to obtain a Basic Archery Instructor (BAI) certification. Fargo Parks will provide certification opportunities for selected candidate(s)
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a background check, according to Fargo Park District Policies
- Physical Requirements: Ability to actively participate in archery instruction and range setup. This position may require: Standing for extended periods during classes, demonstrating archery techniques, setting up and transporting equipment (up to approximately 25–30 pounds), working indoors and/or outdoors in varying conditions
