Archery Instructor

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead beginner archery classes
• Teach basic archery skills, including stance, aim, and shooting technique
• Ensure range safety procedures are followed at all times
• Set up and take down archery equipment before and after classes
• Provide clear instruction, demonstrations, and individual feedback
• Create a positive and encouraging learning environment
• Communicate with program staff regarding scheduling and class needs

Requirements

• Minimum Age: Must be 18 years of age or older
• Certification Requirement: Must have or be willing to obtain a Basic Archery Instructor (BAI) certification. Fargo Parks will provide certification opportunities for selected candidate(s)
• Background Check: Must be able to pass a background check, according to Fargo Park District Policies
• Physical Requirements: Ability to actively participate in archery instruction and range setup. This position may require: Standing for extended periods during classes, demonstrating archery techniques, setting up and transporting equipment (up to approximately 25–30 pounds), working indoors and/or outdoors in varying conditions
