Archaeology Intern

Responsibilities

• The archaeological intern will perform routine fieldwork and office tasks (including data tables, site forms), working under close supervision.
• Field work experience is guaranteed!
• Must be able to work in physically demanding field conditions.
• Must be organized with excellent time management skills to manage projects and teams.
• Excellent communication and research skills are necessary.
• Overnight travel may be required.

Qualifications

• In pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or closely related field (Junior or Senior level only)
• Ability to dig test holes (including screening and completion of hand written forms) and traverse sites with uneven terrain and potentially brushy/woody vegetation while carrying a shovel, screen, notebook, water, and other personal protective equipment, as required by the job and task
• Valid driver’s license
• Field School preferred but not required
