Archaeological Field Technician

About the role

TRC has immediate openings for Archaeological Field Technicians in our Pittsburgh, PA office. This person may participate in all types of archaeological field projects, ranging from small local surveys through large, multi-state projects.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with other TRC archaeologists in TRC's Planning, Permitting, and Licensing practice.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm for work with a strong commitment to client service and technical excellence.
• Work alongside others in a fast-paced environment to develop effective solutions to both expected and unexpected project challenges.
• Regular travel away from home; some projects may require overtime and/or extended workdays and work weeks.
• Walk long distances and perform physically demanding tasks in varying environments and conditions (e.g., steep terrain, heat, cold).
• Abide by Company policies and procedures.
• Complete other duties and special projects as assigned.

Employment with TRC is subject to the successful completion of a background check and drug screen.

Requirements

• BA degree in Anthropology or a related field.
• Some archaeological field experience in the Texas/Central Plains preferred but not necessary.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work closely with others as part of a larger project team.
• Commitment to quality and safety.
• Strong work ethic.
• Three professional references with contact information (include with resume).
• Successfully pass a drug test prior to employment or within five working days from date of hire, in addition to a pre-employment background check, physical, and motor vehicle records check.

Pay

Salary range: USD $24.26 - USD $26.44 per hour.

Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program, contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
