Responsibilities
- Installs roll shafts in pilger mills with precision alignment.
- Troubleshoots poor quality at pilger mills.
- Inspects tools for wear or damage.
- Organizes, cleans, and maintains tooling inventory.
- Performs preventive maintenance and safety inspections before operating equipment.
- Retrieves dies and mandrels from racks using overhead cranes.
- Operates hand grinder to make changes to dies and operates lathe to make changes to mandrels.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate ability to read an OD and Wall micrometer with a minimum score of 80%.
- Demonstrate ability to read a tape measure with a minimum score of 80%.
- Demonstrate ability to perform basic mathematics with a minimum score of 80%.
- Close, distant, and peripheral vision required.
- Detail oriented.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Manual machining skills.
- Basic computer operation skills.
- Inventory management skills.
- Basic knowledge of pilger mill operation.
