Sales and Production Associate

The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Centers seek a Sales and Production Associate to contribute to recycling goods that help repair broken lives. The position involves performing various duties in the store and production area, including handling donations, restocking merchandise, and supporting the work therapy program.

• Maintain order and create a pleasant work environment: Serve all customers courteously and efficiently, handle merchandise with care, and maintain a clean work area.
• Support the work therapy program: Provide beneficiaries with professional conduct, work habits, and supervision as directed by Supervisor.
• Other duties: Support store operations, assist with cleaning and maintenance, and perform tasks such as cashiering, sorting, pricing, tagging, and running racks.

Responsibilities

• Cashier/Sales Floor: Handle cash, sort and price merchandise, restock racks, answer phone calls, and straighten racks.
• Sorter: Sort and clean donations, hang and ticket clothing, price garments, and process miscellaneous merchandise.
• Bric a Brac: Sort and clean miscellaneous merchandise, ticket items, and maintain merchandise displays.
• Shoes/Accessories: Sort, clean, and ticket shoes, handbags, and accessories, processing a minimum of 25 pieces per hour.
• Furnishings/Electrical: Sort, clean, and test furniture and electrical items, ticketing and pricing them according to policy.
• Domestics: Sort, measure, and ticket linen items, processing at least 25 pieces per hour.
• Books/Records/Toys: Sort and clean books, records, and toys, ticketing items and placing them in the required order.
• Furniture/Electrical: Sort, clean, and test furniture and electrical items, ticketing and pricing them according to policy.
• Donations/Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor, accept donations, and ensure a constant flow of donations to the sorting table.

Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to speak and understand English.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
