Sales and Production Associate

The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Centers seek a Sales and Production Associate to contribute to recycling goods that help repair broken lives. This position supports the work therapy program and assists with various duties including sorting, pricing, stocking, and cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Handle all donations with care and donors with respect and courtesy.
• Restock fitting room merchandise back to racks in proper category and color code.
• Maintain merchandise displays as directed.
• Answer telephone calls in an efficient, friendly, professional manner.
• Ensure store is sufficiently stocked and “ragged out” according to the calendar.
• Report theft, customer complaints, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management.
• Maintain a clean and clutter-free work area.
• Support the work therapy program by providing professional conduct, work habits, and supervision.
• Perform cashier/sales floor duties such as cash handling, sorting, pricing, stocking, and restocking merchandise.
• Run sorter duties, including minimum 300 garments per hour by department, assisting with sorting and hanging merchandise.
• Price merchandise at least 250 pieces per hour, ensuring accurate pricing based on style, quality, and condition.
• Assist with bric a brac, shoes/accessories, domestics, books/records/toys, furniture/electrical, and donations/maintenance tasks.
• Perform lawn and garden work as needed.

Requirements

• Able to lift 100 pounds.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to speak and understand English.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
