ARC Donation Center Attendant
About the role
The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Centers seek to make a positive impact by providing essential support to individuals facing various social and spiritual challenges. Through the collection and resale of gently used items, these centers aim to fund programs that offer men and women a clean, healthy living environment, nutritious meals, therapeutic activities, counseling, and spiritual guidance.
Responsibilities
- Receive and receipt (per policy) all donated material courteously and efficiently
- Safeguard all donated material and assigned equipment
- Advisors donors of unacceptable materials
- Maintain neatness and cleanliness of the donation center and surrounding area
- Sort and load trailers
- Ensure no unauthorized personnel enter the Donation Center
- Ensure no merchandise is kept, sold, or otherwise diverted without direction from Administrator(s)
- Report complaints, damage, and unsafe conditions to supervisor immediately
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Able to lift 100 pounds
