Arborist Sales Trainee

About the role

Bartlett Tree Experts is seeking an Arborist Representative Trainee to join our growing team. This position combines passion for arboriculture with enthusiasm for sharing knowledge to establish positive client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside Bartlett’s dedicated team of arborists to gain the skills and expertise needed to succeed.
• Meet with existing and potential residential and commercial clients daily to evaluate their tree and shrub care needs.
• Develop and maintain positive business and client relationships within a defined territory.
• Prepare and provide proposals to clients using sales process tools, software, and other technologies.
• Supervise work to be performed, ensuring jobs are completed according to the signed contract and to the client's satisfaction.
• Set personal sales expectations with immediate supervisor and prepare to meet sales goals.
• Work as a member of a tree care crew during the training process until transitioning to a full-time Arborist Representative.
• Implement and enforce all safety, transportation, and pesticide compliance programs.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of related experience in the tree care industry or prior sales experience.
• ISA Arborist Certification or the ability to obtain it, with assistance from Bartlett.
• A valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Turfgrass, Environmental Science, Plant Science, Outdoor Recreation, Agriculture, or a related field is preferred but not required.

• Base salary (draw) plus commission.
