Arbordale - Server

About the role

The Arbordale, a Transforming Age community located in Urbandale, IA, is seeking a Server/Wait Staff to join their Dining Services team. This role is perfect for those who enjoy people, are in school, and are looking for a good team to work with.

Responsibilities

• Help set up tables, maintaining high standards for cleanliness and presentation.
• On occasion, set up and prepare food items.
• Keep the food and beverage area organized and fully stocked.
• Greet guests, informing them of specials and changes, answering questions and making suggestions.
• Process resident orders to ensure items are prepared properly and served promptly.
• Promote the Mission, Vision and Values of Transforming Age and our Affiliates.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 15 years of age; if under 18, parental permission is required.
• Able to quickly learn and familiarize yourself with the menu for each meal to assure all items are available and answer the residents' questions.
• Able to help residents with any meal service assistance they might request or require.
• Able to read, write, and speak basic to intermediate English.
• Able to perform basic arithmetic calculations.

Schedule

Monday thru Friday, 3:30 PM to usually no later than 6:30 PM
