About the Role

Clark National Accounts is growing and expanding our Accounts Receivable team. We are seeking motivated AR Specialists to partner with customers and internal teams to manage accounts receivable, resolve payment issues, reduce aging balances, and build strong customer relationships. You'll engage with customers regularly through phone calls and emails. Beyond daily AR activities, you'll help drive process improvements and the adoption of AI-powered solutions as we modernize and strengthen our receivables operations.

The AR Team is in office 2 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Manage collection tasks for overdue invoices, employing independent judgment for optimal actions.
  • Establish and update customer records.
  • Reconcile customer accounts to ensure accurate payment application and billing.
  • Suggest required modifications to customer accounts.
  • Partner with divisional leaders to coordinate collection procedures, address billing concerns, and drive process enhancement initiatives.
  • Provide timely and professional responses to customer inquiries.
  • Maintain and distribute reporting tools for management, offering insights into collection progress and activities.
  • Negotiate and formalize payment plans with customers as necessary.
  • Advocate, initiate, and respond to legal measures for accounts as required, including cases involving bankruptcy.
  • Collaborate with various team members on transactional matters.
  • Support additional tasks and assignments as delegated.

Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
  • Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
  • Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50 lbs.

Remote Work Qualifications

  • Access to a reliable and secure high-speed internet connection (cable or fiber preferred, at least 75 Mbps download/10 Mbps upload).
  • Access to a home router and modem.
  • A dedicated home office space that is noise- and distraction-free, with strong wireless or wired Ethernet connection.
  • A valid, physical address (no P.O. boxes).
  • The desire and ability to work and communicate with other team members via chat, webcam, etc.
  • Legal residency in one of the following states: AK, AL, AR, AZ, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WI, WV, or WY.

H-1B Visa Sponsorship is not available; W2 employment only.

Experience

1-3 years of accounts receivable, collections, credit, cash application, or related finance experience is preferred. We are seeking candidates with hands-on experience managing customer portfolios, collecting outstanding balances, resolving payment disputes, and building strong customer relationships. Experience supporting change management initiatives, AR transformation efforts, process improvement projects, and the adoption of new tools and technologies, including automation and AI-driven solutions, is highly desirable.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), with a strong emphasis on Excel.
  • Experience with Excel functions such as VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables; exposure to Power BI is highly beneficial.
