AR Clerk

Bridget Killen with Robert Half is partnering with an employer in Eugene to hire an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk with strong attention to detail, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to use AI tools to streamline and improve accounts receivable processes.

About the Role

This role is ideal for someone who can go beyond day-to-day AR responsibilities and contribute to process improvement efforts. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with data, building reports, and identifying ways to create efficiencies through technology and AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Post payments, reconcile customer accounts, and research discrepancies.
• Monitor aging reports and assist with collections follow-up as needed.
• Prepare AR reports and dashboards using advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables, XLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis tools.
• Use AI tools and technology to help streamline AR workflows, improve efficiency, and reduce manual processes.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and support automation initiatives within the accounting team.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing and payment issues.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

Requirements

• Experience in accounts receivable, billing, or a related accounting support role.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and reporting.
• Experience using AI tools or applying AI to administrative, accounting, or process improvement work.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to improving processes.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ERP or accounting systems.
• Background in process improvement, workflow optimization, or reporting automation.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with evolving technology needs.
