Aquatics Group Fitness Instructor

About the role

The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking a certified aquatics group fitness instructor who can lead engaging classes and inspire members towards better health.

Responsibilities

• Congducting primarily deep water workouts
• Finding new and engaging ways to connect with our members during class
• Instructing an effective, safe class for all abilities at the YMCA
• Willing and able to serve as a substitute for fellow instructors

Requirements

• Age 18+
• 2+ years Aquatics Fitness or Fitness Instructor experience preferred
• Aquatics Group Exercise Instructor Certification
• Ability to perform First Aid/CPR/AED/Emergency Oxygen or pass provided trainings
• The ability to adapt class style for various members

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass required trainings

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to motivate and engage members
• Flexibility to adapt to different teaching styles
