Aquarium & Aviary Service Representative

About the role

We are seeking an entry-level aquarium and aviary servicer for our growing company. This position involves servicing aquariums and aviaries in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. The role requires basic knowledge of hand tools and assembly.

Responsibilities

• Lift, bend, and perform heavy physical tasks
• Service aquariums and aviaries monthly in Johnson City, Jefferson City, Rogersville, Elizabethton, Pikesville, Corbin, and other locations within a 150-mile radius of Knoxville, TN
• Drive a personal vehicle for travel between service areas
• Manage service cycles for customer bases
• Communicate effectively with customers
• Handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly
• Store 50# bags of bedding and seed along with 4-5 27-gallon totes of supplies
• Comply with safety requirements, including wearing masks and goggles if necessary

Requirements

• Experience in fish keeping and/or bird keeping preferred
• Great attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to adjust priorities to meet business needs
• Strong work ethic and punctuality
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to communicate and contribute in a team-oriented environment
• High school education preferred
• Driver's license required

Pay and Schedule

The hourly wage is $25.00. Expected hours range from 5-15 hours per month, with the possibility of more. Weekly workload varies based on accounts due for service and location.
