Responsibilities

  • Working with a team to develop control system components (LRUs) and electronic controller for a new APU program.

  • Executing and documenting trade studies.

  • Develop and implement the MBSE and digital engineering architecture for a new APU controls development program.

  • Integrating control system with APU.

  • Control system requirements development, analysis, decomposition, and validation.

  • Develop and implement control algorithms and software for APUs.

  • Control system design, integration, and validation.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or aerospace engineering.

  • 8+ years of systems engineering experience in support of safety-critical aerospace development.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of control systems engineering principles and processes.

  • Experience with control system design, implementation, and testing.

  • Experience with control system development for aerospace applications.

  • Experience providing hands-on coaching, training, and day-to-day support for engineering team members.

  • Knowledge of APU systems and their integration into aircraft.

  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to control systems in aerospace applications.

  • Self-motivation to work with little supervision and take the initiative to complete tasks.

  • Ability to change course based on new information and direction.

  • Ability to make autonomous decisions.
