About the Role

RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, is seeking a motivated and experienced Principal Program Cost Controls Finance Analyst to join the APS RFS (Radio Frequency Solutions) team within the Finance Operations and Supply Chain (OSC) organization. In this role, you will participate in a team of finance analysts, executing all aspects of weekly, monthly, and quarterly analysis processes (EACs, EVMS, etc.). You will help construct and execute change management protocols, providing critical analysis to drive value for the organization. Finance serves as a critical business partner to OSC by offering analysis, insight, and guidance to enable strategic decision-making and achieve effective bottom-line results.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and possesses excellent communication skills to transfer knowledge, resolve conflicts, and relay critical information across multi-functional stakeholder groups. Prioritization and resource allocation in a dynamic, geographically dispersed team are vital in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Labor tracking, cost transfers, MRP resource planning/updates (PRISM), and Internal Work Authorization oversight.
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly Earned Value reporting and data analysis.
  • Build and maintain business relationships and trust with all stakeholders.
  • Work closely with various functional organizations during the Estimate-at-Completion (EAC) process and monitor their performance.
  • Support variance analysis updates and financial reviews with RFS management and internal customers.
  • Strengthen processes with multiple functional stakeholders from beginning to end.
  • Perform additional ad-hoc analysis as needed.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Experience with SAP, Business Warehouse, or similar systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint, Word, and advanced Excel skills preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience generating EACs.
  • Experience interfacing with various functional disciplines (Contracts, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, etc.).
  • Experience using SAP Business Systems (e.g., APEX, PRISM), Analysis for Office, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and EVMS certification.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Goal-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple priorities and workloads.
  • Strong communication skills to engage effectively with peers, cross-functional teammates, and all levels of leadership.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $86,800 – $165,200 USD. The range provided is a good-faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
