April

  • Your Career Support – Monday 11th April, 1:30 – 2:30pm

    Find out about the wealth of support available from your Careers & Enterprise Hub at CCCU, both as a student and as an alumni after graduation.

  • Making the Most of LinkedIn – Tuesday 19th April, 1-3pm

    Hosted in collaboration with GradForce. Learn about connections vs. followers, how to network on the largest online professional platform, and how to leverage this tool for your future.

  • cccuUpreneur: Create a Clear Business Message, do your customers get it? – Wednesday 20th April, 1:30-3:30pm

    Top tips on identifying your customers, understanding their needs, and refining your marketing message. Learn more about the cccUpreneur programme.

  • Job Hunting: Finding the right role for you – Thursday 21st April, 1-1:45pm

    An introduction to the graduate job market, types of roles available, and where to find them. Learn how to decode job adverts and descriptions, and get practical tips on applications, interviews, and assessment centres.

  • cccuUpreneur: Driving Clear Communications, have your customers got it? – Wednesday 4th May, 1:30-3:30pm

    Learn how to create opportunities, drive sales, and add value to your business by avoiding missed opportunities. Learn more about the cccUpreneur programme.

  • Allianz on Campus – Thursday 5th May, time TBC
  • Make Your CV Shine – Tuesday 10th May, 1-2pm

    Advice on tailoring your CV for specific job or further study opportunities. Learn about CV360 and other tools to enhance your CV.

  • Disability in the Workplace – Tuesday 17th May, 1-3pm

    Hosted in collaboration with GradForce. Guidance on disclosing a disability, understanding your legal rights, and accessing support. Open to all, whether you have a disability or want to support others.

  • Elevator Pitch – Wednesday 18th May, 1-2pm

    An interactive session on presenting yourself effectively in brief discussions. Learn how to introduce yourself, understand employer needs, and highlight why you’re the right candidate.

  • Neurodiversity in the Workplace – Wednesday 25th May, 2-3pm

    Join Susannah from Careers and Helen from the Disability team to explore what neurodiversity means in a career and how to support neurodiverse colleagues. Open to all, whether you are neurodiverse or want to learn more.

June

  • Barracudas Opportunities – Tuesday 7th June, 1-2pm

    Barracudas offers high-quality activity day camps for children aged 4½ – 14 and is looking for fun, professional team players to join their camp teams. This session includes a presentation and Q&A with Barracudas representatives.

  • Interview Success – Wednesday 8th June, 1-2pm

    Learn about different types of interviews used by recruiters and get top tips on preparing for interviews, including in a digital setting. Explore common interview questions and how to craft effective responses.

  • Lion Leadership – Thursday 9th June, 1-2pm

    Grant from Lion Leadership will run a workshop on Developing Leadership Character.

  • Microsoft Specialist Workshops

    Run in partnership with the IT training team, these workshops cover Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. They prepare you for optional exams that can earn you a Microsoft Specialist Associate certification (pass 3 out of 4 exams). Expert-level sessions are also available.
