Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and maintain piping systems for HVAC, plumbing, and fire sprinkler applications.
- Utilize various welding techniques including MIG, FCAW, TIG welding for pipe assembly and repairs.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of piping systems.
- Perform pipe threading, tube bending, soldering, and rigging as required for installations.
- Conduct routine maintenance on existing piping systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other equipment safely and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with ASME codes & standards throughout all work processes.
- Collaborate with team members on construction sites to complete projects efficiently.
Requirements
- Proven experience in pipefitting or a related field such as construction or manufacturing.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems and fire sprinkler fitting is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of safety protocols.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements and material estimates.
- Knowledge of pipeline assembly techniques and maintenance practices is advantageous.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Skills
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Basic math skills for measurements and material estimates.
- Welding techniques (MIG, FCAW, TIG).
- Hand and power tool usage.
