Apprentice Piercer

About the Role

Studs is seeking Apprentices to join our paid 6-week piercing training program. Upon successful completion, graduates will be eligible for Full-Time Associate Piercer positions at our Domain Northside studio. During training, apprentices earn $19/hour plus tips, and graduated apprentices make $24/hour plus tips.

Responsibilities

• Revenue:
  • Embodies a service-oriented, performance-driven culture by meeting and exceeding expectations.
  • Serves as a brand ambassador, educating clients on the Studs experience through our selling cycle.
  • Delivers confident, clear, and professional communication with clients throughout their Studs experience.
• Operations:
  • Leverages Studs' resources and policies in decision-making.
  • Becomes well-versed in piercing operating procedures and regulations to ensure client experience and work safety standards.
  • Maintains consistent and detailed record-keeping of all maintenance, sterilized inventory, and tools.
• Talent:
  • Prioritizes studio compliance and adheres to standard operating procedures and company policy.
  • Admits mistakes and escalates issues when needed.
  • Provides best-in-class service consistently and offers solutions-oriented feedback.

Requirements

• 3 years of relevant work experience.
• At least 2 years as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist (performing venipunctures and/or finger sticks) preferred.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule up to 5 days per week (32+ hours), including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Weekend availability (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) required, excluding approved PTO.
• Ability to pierce a minimum of 18 appointments per day.
• Ability to visually inspect ear anatomy for advanced piercings.
• Steady hand and ability to handle chemicals safely.
• Ability to lift 20 lbs.
• Willingness to travel to a studio location for the 6-week training program (paid by Studs).
• Driven, creative problem solver with integrity and a positive attitude.
