Apprentice Automotive Technician

We’re looking to hire an Apprentice Automotive Technician to join our team. You provide the good work ethic and great attitude and we provide the support and opportunity! As an apprentice automotive technician, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills under the guidance of experienced automotive technicians. This is not an entry‑level position; we are looking for quality general repair technicians who have the desire to take their career to the next level. Compensation will be based on experience.

Apprentice Technician Qualifications

• Formal education in automotive technology (graduated or currently attending) and/or professional technician experience (automotive tech, lube tech, general service tech, express service tech, apprentice tech, etc.)
• At least 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Deep understanding of automobiles and speedy diagnostic abilities
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Willingness to learn from experienced technicians
• Effective analytical and communication skills and eagerness to improve
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures, and specifications
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Great attitude, work ethic, and attendance
• Basic hand tools

Apprentice Technician Responsibilities

• Perform general vehicle maintenance
• Work alongside experienced technicians
• Test systems and components to ensure they are secure and functioning properly
• Identify systems or components that may have caused a problem
• Drive vehicles for testing purposes and inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing and repairing vehicles
• Repair or replace worn parts before breakdown or damage occurs
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks
