Job Summary
Based on daily production schedule, check, and stage all necessary components required for each job ticket at press site; to maximize productivity on press by minimizing press operators’ times in non-running activities.Job Description
- Review job tickets for components required.
- Ensure that proofs and/or samples are in the job ticket.
- Inspect plates for any flaws, damage, or potential problems.
- Pre-stage all components at press site readily available; to include print cylinders, mounted plates, stock, inks, tooling, and anything else required for the order.
- Maintain inventory levels and physical storage of production components.
- Upon completion of jobs, return production components to storage locations.
- General plant cleanup duties, i.e., emptying trash containers, sweeping, etc.
- Auxiliary duties, such as assisting operators on press after staging priorities are completed to increase productivity.
- Communicate with supervisors on job staging statuses as that may affect scheduling. Especially identify missing components for alternative scheduling planning.
- Advise supervisors when assistance is required to maintain organization of storage locations.
- Work overtime or temporarily adjust work times as needed.
- Respect and cooperate with individuals and assist others in reaching objectives.
- Follow all safety rules/regulations, company procedures and policies.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas.
- Continually strive to learn and improve all processes.

NoneMinimum Qualifications of Position
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous Pressroom experience is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
- Ability to interpret written instructions.
- Multi-tasking and prioritizing skills.
- Organizational and planning skills for self-directed daily activities.
- Demonstrated ability to follow direction and acquire skills required to progress to operator status.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to visually inspect all work for defects and distinguish colors.
- Frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping.
- Manual dexterity for repetitive work.
