These roles are essential to maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for our retail partners and their customers. Ideal candidates will have previous experience as a security officer, security guard, and/or other safety and protection related fields, including customer service roles.
Responsibilities
- Conduct vehicle and foot patrols of areas in the public right of way to identify potential safety and security risks
- Engage with the public and respond to any and all calls for service in the public right of way
- Maintain a visible presence and engage in professional public interactions
- Document all interactions in a clear and concise written report, ensuring the accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports/documents)
- Communicate and pass on all pertinent information to fellow team members, other safety teams, and the client
- Monitor and/or detect any suspicious behavior to assist in the prevention of vandalism, theft, and/or other criminal behavior
- Warn violators of infractions, e.g., loitering, smoking, and/or in possession of prohibited items
- Respond to calls of distress, alarms, and/or emergencies such as fire, injuries, or presence of unauthorized individuals by contacting local first responders
- Identify and report any and all concerns (safety, security breaches, unusual circumstances) in a timely manner
- Ensure all rules/regulations are being enforced and followed
- Other duties to be determined by management
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- High school degree or equivalent
- Valid Texas state driver's license
- Valid Texas Guard License
- Current valid Level II - Texas security license
- Must have a current WI driver's license and clean driving record
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Basic computer skills
- Weekend availability
- Able to conduct extended foot patrols
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Minimum of one year of customer service experience
- Minimum of one year of security experience
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug)
- This position will require occasional crawling, crouching, climbing of stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping, and walking for extended periods of time
Pay & Schedule
- $16.32 hourly
- Full-time and part-time openings
- 2nd shift
