About the role
Join an innovative team of scientists who use machine learning and statistical techniques to help Amazon provide the best customer experience by preventing eCommerce fraud. You will analyze and model terabytes of data, create state-of-the-art algorithms, and own end-to-end business problems to directly impact the company's profitability. Collaborate in a diverse team environment to build advanced machine learning systems that manage the safety of millions of transactions daily and scale operations with automation.
Responsibilities
- Innovate with the latest GenAI/LLM/VLM technology to build highly automated solutions for efficient risk evaluation and automated operations.
- Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end machine learning solutions in the Amazon production environment to create impactful business value.
- Learn, explore, and experiment with the latest machine learning advancements to create the best customer experience.
- Build scalable, efficient, and automated processes for large-scale data analyses, model development, validation, and implementation.
- Provide clear and compelling reports for solutions and contribute to ongoing innovation and knowledge-sharing within the team.
- Collaborate with business partners and engineering teams to address real-world problems with scalable machine learning solutions.
Qualifications
- PhD, or Master's degree and 4+ years of experience in CS, CE, ML, or a related field.
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python, or a related language.
- Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, or high-performance computing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Track record of leading large-scale AI transformation projects.
- Strong publication record in top-tier conferences/journals such as CVPR, NeuIPS, ICML, ACL, or EMNLP.

Pay
Base salary range: $142,800.00 - $193,200.00 USD annually (USA, WA, Seattle). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
