About the role
Join Ring and apply your computer vision expertise to innovate and impact millions of customers, enhancing safety and improving lives. You’ll be part of a team advancing computer vision and machine learning technology, developing highly optimized algorithms at scale. This position focuses on Multi-modal LLMs and Vision Language Models, collaborating with Amazon teams to build integrated hardware and software platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, evaluate, deploy, and update data-driven models for computer vision applications.
- Research and implement state-of-the-art computer vision and Vision Language Model algorithms.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to implement computer vision and machine learning features for Ring devices.
- Influence system design and product vision by selecting technology, data sources, algorithms, and sensors.
Requirements
- PhD or Master’s degree in CS, CE, ML, or a related field with 4+ years of experience.
- 3+ years of experience building models for business applications.
- Proficiency in Java, C++, Python, or a related programming language.
- Experience developing and implementing deep learning algorithms, particularly for computer vision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience creating novel algorithms and advancing the state of the art in computer vision.
- Strong written and oral communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience prototyping, designing, implementing, and deploying computer vision applications and tools.
- Expertise in Vision Language Models and LLMs.
- Demonstrated ability to balance business, product, and technology priorities.
Pay
Base salary range: $142,800 – $193,200 USD annually (Bellevue, WA). Additional compensation may include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
