About the role
Salesforce is seeking talented software and platform engineers to join the AI team. This role involves bringing cutting-edge AI technology into customer-facing reality, building tools and pipelines, deploying services, and working with end-users.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside other research engineers to bring theory into practice.
- Design, build, deploy, and maintain production services like APIs, UIs, and agentic evaluators.
- Help gather end-user requirements and present to executives.
Requirements
- Strong abilities with Python and Linux.
- Experience with production cloud deployments like AWS or GCP.
- Kubernetes experience is a plus.
- Field-debugging full-stack deployments experience.
- Understanding of security principles and best practices.
- UI and graphic design sensibilities are a plus.
- Ability to write high-quality, low-cognitive-load, fully-tested code.
Qualifications
- Experience with AI and machine learning technologies.
- Knowledge of Generative AI and Agentic Systems.
- Experience in developing and deploying AI-driven solutions.
Skills
- Python programming.
- Linux command-line operations.
- Cloud deployment and management (AWS/GCP).
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Understanding of security best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively with researchers and developers.

Pay
The typical base salary range for this position is $148,500 - $260,100 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range is $178,900 - $285,800 annually.
