About the role
Our CEO leads the company’s AI vision and is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to help redefine what’s possible. This is a mission-critical role for GoodSuite, focusing on translating ambition into automation and curiosity into competitive advantage.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy AI-powered automation across internal operations — service delivery, billing, quoting, onboarding, and client communications
- Build and maintain AI tools, agents, dashboards, and workflows that eliminate manual work and create measurable time savings
- Integrate LLMs with internal systems, SaaS tools, databases, APIs, and automation platforms
- Lead GoodSuite’s internal AI adoption — training staff, identifying use cases, and getting teams to actually use the tools
- Evaluate and implement AI-forward platforms including workflow automation, LLM integrations, and RMM/PSA enhancements
- Partner with our CRO and COO to identify automation opportunities that directly support revenue growth and margin improvement
- Build the foundation for AI-enabled client-facing services that GoodSuite can offer to its managed IT client base
- Stay relentlessly current — you will be our eyes and ears on what’s coming next
Requirements
- You are obsessive about AI — not as a trend, but as a craft. You build things. You ship things.
- You have hands-on experience with LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic/Claude, Gemini, or similar
- You can build with Python and/or TypeScript/Node.js, and are comfortable with frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, Express.js, or similar
- You have experience with APIs, webhooks, databases, and workflow automation platforms like n8n, Make, Zapier, or Power Automate
- You can build practical internal tools using React, Next.js, Retool, Streamlit, or similar when needed
- You have worked in or around an MSP, IT services, SaaS, service business, or technology company — you understand operational realities
- You are a clear communicator who can explain complex tools to non-technical stakeholders without condescension
- You work with urgency. You don’t wait to be told something is possible — you find out and build it
- You are comfortable with ambiguity and excel in environments where you are defining the role as much as filling it
- You have a portfolio, GitHub, side project, internal tool, or live product that shows you actually build — not just theorize
Nice to have
- Experience with ConnectWise Manage, Automate, or similar PSA/RMM platforms
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 automation, Power Automate, Azure AI services, Microsoft Graph, SharePoint, or Teams integrations
- Experience with RAG, embeddings, vector databases, document processing, knowledge-base search, or AI evaluation workflows
- Experience building internal-facing AI dashboards, reporting tools, copilots, or client-facing AI features
- Background in SOC, cybersecurity automation, compliance tooling, or IT operations
